Directors Lunch with Alex Buttle - co-founder of Motorway -19th November 2026

We are delighted to announce our guest speaker for our next Directrors Lunch on 19th November 2026 - Alex Buttle, co-founder of Motorway.

Motorway is the UK's fastest-growing used car marketplace, which grew from a start-up idea in 2017 to a £1bn+ unicorn in just four years.

Alex is going to share the story behind Motorway, from the original idea and the early challenges to scaling one of the UK's biggest tech success stories.

He'll cover how three founders with no background in the motor industry spotted an opportunity, why understanding customer problems is so important, and a few lessons, stories and mistakes along the journey.

Practical lessons on building and scaling a business and what it really takes to build a category-defining company.

The lunch will be held at The Collingwood Hotel, 1 Priory Rd, Bournemouth BH2 5DF. There is parking behind the hotel.

If you haven't attended before, our lunches are designed to be relaxed and less formal so you can make new contacts, enjoy an interesting speaker and a delicious lunch.

I really hope you can join me for the last event of the year.
