After the best part of a decade working in the finance department of a large company in London, during which time she relocated to Dorset with her husband and (then) toddler, Amy decided to leave the commute and corporate world behind in order to achieve a better work/life balance.

Amy was in fact recruited for her first local bookkeeping role by Frances back in 2012!  They remained friends, and a chance catch-up over a cup of coffee two years ago led to Amy joining Jobshop part-time as Payroll Officer, where she ran the weekly payroll for the temporary staff – a very busy role drawing on Amy’s strengths of a high level of focus and accuracy.  Last year she moved into the role of part-time Finance Manager where she enjoys looking after the company as a whole entity, providing the Directors with management accounts and cash flow reporting, and analysing data to aid strategic discussions and decisions, which has been of particularly importance during the ever-changing landscape of the recent pandemic.

Amy is the owner of Muttley, the occasional “office dog”, and as a family they love spending time at the beach and exploring the South West.  When the dog is not in tow they love live music, good food and drink, and visiting or entertaining family and friends.
