Jobshop UK is an independent recruitment agency established in 1997. We specialise in all aspects of temporary, permanent and contract operational staff (including remote and hybrid roles) from general administration to management level.
We provide staff to the private and public sector across the UK across all industries.
Since 2020 we have moved to offices in Ashley Cross in Poole on the lovely Dorset coast. We have adapted our service to suit the changing landscape the world of work presents.
Some of the team work full time in the office and some work on a hybrid basis to suit individual needs. We are all available to speak to you Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.30pm, whether we are working from home or the office.
We still deliver the same level of service and care to our candidates and clients as we have always done.
We are in a people business and that is the most important thing to us.
Our team is made up of senior resources and consultants who are seasoned professionals who all understand and love the business of recruitment.
For our candidates, we are here to find you your first job, your next career move or just provide advice on the job market.
For our clients, we will spend time listening to your needs, advising on the job market, job descriptions, salaries etc and looking for fabulous candidates to match to your jobs.
We use various job boards, our website, social media, LinkedIn, our extensive database and our 27 years of networking to provide the best possible service to both candidate and clients.
Whilst a lot of us are working in hybrid or remote roles, there are a growing number of companies who now want their staff to return to the office. Interestingly, candidates have adapted really well to working from home, so they want to continue this way of working. This has created a desire amongst employees for flexibility in hours and days worked, a lot of people have opted to go to part-time hours too.
For the last few years we have been in a candidate short market and since 2023 it is as tight as it has been. There are still a lot of jobs being advertised. The UK saw a lot of over 50’s retire out of the workforce following the pandemic. A few are returning now due to the cost of living crisis.
So although we have changed some of the way that we work, we still like to see people in person (even if that means over a video call).
We still verify ID of candidates, test their skills and reference check.

Jobshop UK is a member of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation - the governing body for the recruitment industry. This body, amongst other things, keeps us abreast of current legislation, training courses, better recruitment practices, local events and case studies. We can then help you by advising you on the best course of action at the time.
The Directors, Tracey and Frances, both have a background in Recruitment, Personnel and training prior to setting up Jobshop.
