Bournemouth based recruitment specialists, Jobshop UK, has announced Jane Badminton as Temp of the Year. Super temp, Jane, who has been working as a payroll administrator for a local engineering company, was surprised with a £50 John Lewis voucher and stunning bouquet of flowers at a surprise afternoon tea.
Julia Meaden, senior HR advisor, highlighted the attributes Jane showed which led to her winning the award, by saying: “Jane has just brightened up the office in so many ways. No job too big, no task too small. She’s dedicated and hardworking, a fantastic team player, flexible, friendly and knowledgeable with a positive can-do attitude. She demonstrates great compassion and empathy, has a big heart and is very popular with all our employees. She has a wicked sense of humour, delivers service with a smile and she’s just been such a natural team fit. Jane’s so ‘worth it’ and so deserving of this award.”
Frances Miles, director at Jobshop UK commented:“Jobshop’s ‘Temp of the Year’ award is always difficult to award to just one person. We look for someone who has proved themselves through their commitment, hard work, flexibility and client feedback. This year Jane absolutely shone out as that person. She has gone above and beyond what was required of her whilst she was temping - so much so, that the client has now offered her a permanent job. With Julia’s help we surprised Jane with the award of a cream tea at Les Bouviers, under the pretext of her attending a seminar.”
Temp of the Year, Jane Badminton, said: “I was really shocked to be awarded Temp of the Month, let alone Temp of the Year! I really appreciate the recognition from the HR team and Jobshop for this award. The gifts and cream tea was lovely, and certainly a surprise!”
