    Technical and Customer Services Team Leader SALARY: £28,000 - £35,000 Per Annum

    REF: Technical and Customer Services Team Leader

    My client are looking for a customer focused technical services team leader to be based in their Poole head office.

    The role will be responsible for:

    • Gaining a thorough technical understanding of all of their products
    • Assisting in the testing and evaluation of potential new products
    • Establishing a strong relationship with their manufacturer suppliers to ensure they fully understand all products and can resolve technical issues arising
    • Providing technical support to technical staff in their subsidiaries
    • Manage and oversee the provision of training and technical product support to their distributors
    • Ensuring superb, proactive and efficient customer services and technical support to their clients
    • Working within a small technical team responsible for:

    a) Training distributors and clients internationally

    b) Installation of new equipment

    c) Servicing and supporting UK clients

    • Preparing and testing products ready for sale to clients.
    • Ensuring all equipment in our showroom is always in top condition and ready for use
    • Managing spare parts, returns and replacement parts
    • Disseminating technical and product changes / knowledge to our technical staff

    The Successful Candidate - Experience Required / Likely Background

    The ideal candidate will have a good practical knowledge of digital printers and other print / print finishing equipment. This knowledge and experience required will probably have been gained either through:

    a) working in a digital print department of a commercial print operation

    b) or through working for a manufacturer or dealer servicing and supporting printing equipment

    Skills & Qualities Required

    • A good practical and technical understanding of print
    • Enjoys using and understanding new technology
    • Able to lead / run the technical services department
    • Very focused on looking after their customer’s support needs with a sense of urgency and diplomacy
    • Will be familiar with Adobe Illustrator
    • Self-motivated to learn new products and share that knowledge with others
    • Good organizational and administrative skills
    • A proactive approach to customer service and support is essential
    • Excellent telephone manner
    • Good listener
    • Good written communication is essential as the role requires constant communication via e-mail with customers where English may be their second language
    • Good verbal communication is also required
    • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is required
    • The candidate must be willing to travel (including overseas) and be away from home on occasions
    • A car, driving license and passport is required
