Exciting opportunity for someone who is experienced in import and export documentation to fulfil this maternity Contract working for a well-established company based in Poole.
Role is for around 15 months.
£23k - £24k
Arranging export/import shipments by sea, air, rail, courier/parcel carrier for new business and aftermarket.
Produce all necessary documentation to accompany goods for import/export.
Prepare documentation in readiness to dispatch/export goods.
Liaise with project engineers, aftermarket technicians, supply chain, packers, freight forwarders and customers.
Prepare all necessary documentation for Cash Against Documents and Letters of Credits, and negotiate with Banks to ensure payment.
Obtain freight and other shipping costs when required.
Produce and maintain daily report with updates for daily meetings with Aftermarket and Supply Chain to expedite.
Check freight invoices against dispatches to ensure correct billing.
Arrange import clearances, including submitting deferment instructions to clearing agents, recording VAT/Duty payments and overseeing duty deferment account.
Experience / skills required:
Previous experience in Import/Export shipping
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Need to be assertive and have an organised and methodical approach with good attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
Experience in on-line processes i.e. courier bookings, obtaining Certificates from Chamber of Commerce
Excellent computer skills and good commercial awareness.
Good general standard of education.
Experience / skills preferred:
Knowledge of Letters of Credit and Cash Against Document requirements.
