Our client in Bournemouth are looking for a highly experienced and professional Secretary, to work as part of the office’s support team, in particular supporting the Tax, Audit and Admin teams.
You will be working for a Partner however you will also be required to cover for other secretaries as and when required.
The role is approximately a 90% typing, 10% admin mix therefore the suitable candidate must have first class secretarial, administrative and interpersonal skills in order to perform at the required level.
You will be required to transcribe from audio dictation and hand-written draft and adjust for spelling, grammar and punctuation errors, you will respond on the Partner’s behalf to straightforward correspondence, produce draft replies against guidelines for more complex issues, answer incoming phone calls and either transfer callers or deal with queries and enquiries and where appropriate screen-incoming calls.
Other duties will include:
- post distribution/re-direction
- co-ordinate diary appointments with Partner and schedule arrangements
- occasionally co-ordinate travel and accommodation arrangements
- co-ordinate internal and external meetings: including preparation of necessary documentation and Powerpoint presentations and maintain appropriate record and filing systems.
The Company are looking for someone who is confident and assertive with an informal, yet professional style. You must have the ability to work independently and to use own initiative and decision making skills, as well as the ability to prioritise work and to exercise discretion and confidentiality at all times.
You must have strong secretarial experience, providing secretarial cover for a group, with fast accurate audio typing skills of 60-70 wpm as well as excellent IT skills, proficient on Word and Excel.

Salary £22,000 - £27,000 DOE
