    Purchasing Manager SALARY: Salary DOE

    The role

    • Planning and managing International and UK purchasing
    • Producing and delivering purchasing strategy
    • Directing and co-coordinating buyers and purchasing co-ordinators
    • Review, develop and implement procurement, policies, process and procedures
    • Manage, maintain and develop relationships with new and existing suppliers
    • Source new suppliers
    • Review and develop budgets as well as forecast levels of demand for products
    • Provide regular reports and stats

    Essential Skills required

    • Previous purchasing experience in a manufacturing background
    • Ability to lead and motivate a team
    • Experience of buying and negotiating from the Far East
    • Good understanding of MRP
    • Competent in MS Office
    • Commitment to a collaborative approach
    • Comfortable with rapid change and development
    • Excellent communication and time management skills

    "Nice to have"skills

    • Experience of Sage
    • Knowledge of international freight and supply chain
    • Understanding of product compliance and regulatory requirements
