    Experienced Finance Assistant SALARY: £25,000 - £28,000 Per Annum

    This role is supporting the Finance Manager and the Group Financial Controller in a busy, entrepreneurial and dynamic finance department. You will need to very competent with Sage Line 50 as you will be running several sets of accounts and have an excellent understanding of general accounting rules and practices. Advanced Excel skills are also required together with an AAT Level 4 qualification or experience to this level.

    Duties include:-

    • Reconciling company bank accounts
    • Inputting financial transactions onto Sage Line 50, including Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Petty Cash, Cash Book and Internet payments ensuring all entries are accurate and against the correct nominal code.
    • Reconciling and processing company credit cards
    • Processing transactions and reporting to HMRC accordingly
    • Raising invoices and posting to various ledgers
    • Support with month end and VAT returns preparation
    • Checking monthly PAYE payments due to HMRC
    • Preparing Direct Debit Collections

    A background in the construction industry would be desirable but not essential.

    This role would suit someone who is flexible and enjoys working in a team environment.

    Hours Mon to Fri 8.00 am - 4.00 pm
