The role involves accurately assessing claims in line with policy terms and conditions. Paying valid claims quickly without unnecessary delay. Ensuring customers who aren't covered are informed at the first opportunity, and helped to signpost them.
Attempting to resolve disputes with customers using the best customer service.
Ensuring that claim information is accurately captured and entered into the claims handling system.
Your job will be to help make the claims process as simple and hassle free as possible for customers by coming up with proactive solutions to help resolve claims.
No formal qualifications are essential for this role although it is essential to have good degrees of literacy and numeracy. The role requires the post holder to produce high quality written correspondence (letters and emails) and calculate claim payments.
The only experience that is essential is previous experience handling customers on the phone or face to face (retail, hotel, leisure, call centre)
You need to have lots of empathy, resilience and the ability to prioritise busy workloads.
If you have one or two languages that's a bonus and you will be rewarded for it.
